Honey Bees / Vision

says honeybee vision has a theoretical maximum angular resolution of 1.4 degrees, which worse than human vision by a factor of more than 100.

"... the disk of the full moon is about 0.5 degrees wide, as is that of the sun. Thus, the best a bee can do is to sample the average light intensity in an area of space about three moons wide by three moons tall."

[bee vision is limited to distinguishing based on colour and motion.]
